About Me
Dr. Ibrahim Elchami is a technology leader, researcher, and entrepreneur specializing in AI, IoT, and smart city innovation. He serves as Chief Technology Officer at Mostar Labs, where he leads product development and technology strategy, and as CEO and Co-Founder of Agrobotic.io, an agritech-fintech platform with operations in Canada and Hong Kong.
Holding a PhD in Mechatronic Systems Engineering from Simon Fraser University / KU Leuven and postdoc at the University of British Columbia, Dr. Elchami has advised governments, UN agencies, and companies on emerging technology policy, governance AI, and sustainable infrastructure. His work spans AI, IoT, and digital twin governance, policy, and applications for smart cities and climate change adaptation systems.
A recipient of over 26 international and research awards from organizations including Microsoft, NVIDIA, and OpenAI, he has helped secure $40M+ in non-dilutive funding for startups across Canada, the EU, and the Middle East. Fluent in Arabic and English, he engages in projects across the GCC, MENA, and Asia-Pacific regions focused on governance, innovation sandboxes, and technology park development.
